Material
The acrylic solid surface material I use to fabricate counter tops is called “MEGANITE” (I also have used this material to fabricate chair rails, window sills, baseboards, molding and trim, cutting boards, etc.) This acrylic solid surface is exceptionally heavy duty, durable, stain resistant, non porous, and bacteria resistant. The construction methods produce an installation that is seamless in appearance.
“MEGANITE” is designed by the manufacturer to compete with the more expensive “CORIAN” material. As a fabricator and installer I have used both solid surface materials and cannot tell any difference between the two. (Besides the price). The lower cost of the “MEGANITE” brand creates a significant savings. This savings brings the total cost of re-doing YOUR counter tops down to a level that is very attractive to most home and business owners.
